Managing Director

Ilona has over 10 years of experience with global NGOs working on justice and corporate accountability. She’s worked in multinational organizations, such as Amnesty International as their Individuals at Risk Campaign Director in the United States, and smaller global organizations, including the Clean Clothes Campaign in Europe which set global strategies to improve working conditions in the global garment industry and adapted and operationalized it in dozens of countries around the world, working collaboratively with garment workers, unions, and other labor allies. Ilona also worked with an unsanctioned women’s rights organization in Zimbabwe, where she assisted the Executive Director and other leaders in developing operational management systems and procedures. Ilona has an MSc Degree from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in Labor, Social Movements, and Development, where she studied systems of leadership and organization in various structures of social movements and institutions.
