Daniel leads and manages ERI’s training, legal and campaign programs in the Mekong sub-region and Myanmar. For the previous four years he was ERI's Mekong Legal Director, coordinating programs including the Mekong Legal Advocacy Institute and Mekong Legal Network. Prior to joining ERI, Daniel worked as a legal advisor to Cambodian public interest lawyers representing urban, rural and indigenous communities fighting for their land rights and speaks land rights Khmer. He has experience with national, regional and international campaigns, legal advocacy and community collaboration. Daniel has also worked as an environmental lawyer in Australia, representing both corporate and public interest clients. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Political Economy and Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University along with a Masters of Public and International Law at Melbourne University. He was admitted to legal practice in 2004 in Australia.
