ERI stands in solidarity with the Center for Human Rights and the Environment to oppose the World Bank's financing of two multinational enterprises to export their contaminating pulp mill industries to the beautiful beaches of the Uruguay River. The Bank is set to vote on November 16th on whether to finance or not - we encourage you to join CEDHA tomorrow afternoon to speak out against this investment! CEDHA organizers and supporters will convene at the corner of 18th and Pennsylvania, NW, on Thursday, November 16th, at 12 Noon. Facts you should know:
TAKE ACTION to oppose these illogical, harmful and unwanted investments and to convince the World Bank not to give financial support to these projects that do not even comply with their own social and environmental safeguard policies.
