Chevron’s Continuing Role in Financing Oppression and Profiting From Human Rights Abuses in Military-Ruled Burma

PDF version

EarthRights International (ERI) began collecting on-the-ground information about human rights abuses connected to the Yadana gas project in 1994, including witness and victim testimony in Burma and on the Thai-Burma border. This report draws on original field data collected by ERI between 2003-2008 in Burma and along the Thai-Burma border, as well as desk research. ERI also interviewed defected soldiers, residents, and recent refugees from the pipeline region.
