Amicus Brief in Flores v. Southern Peru Copper Corporation

Plaintiffs in this case allege that for the past forty years, massive pollution from defendant Southern Peru Copper Corporation's smelter has caused loss of life in, and severe injury to the health of the people of Ilo, Peru. ERI submitted an amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals on behalf of nine leading scholars of international human rights and environmental law.
