EarthRights International's web administration team is committed to safeguarding the privacy and information of our users. EarthRights International does not sell or trade names or personal data that we collect on our website. This applies to all pages native to the earthrights.org website. However, we can not vouch for pages hosted by other organizations linked from the earthrights.org website, and we encourage our users to refer to the their privacy policies as well. When you make a donation to EarthRights International, Groundspring shares your contact information (name, address, and email address) with us only. We keep this information in our database of supporters in order to keep you informed of our work and related issues that may be of interest to you. EarthRights International will not share or sell this information. Use of “cookies”: A cookie is a small piece of data which is sent from a web server to a web browser. It is stored locally on the user's machine, and allows the user to have a more personalized experience. The EarthRights International website only uses cookies to help us keep track of which users are logged onto the website. The cookie is stored on the user's machine but it is not an executable program and cannot do anything to the machine. User Registration and Newsletters: When users register for our monthly newsletter or to gain access to premium content and the user comment boards on the EarthRights website, they are required to provide their name, address, email and an anonymous “username” (other fields are optional). Only the username, city, state, and country are made public in the user profile, the user's actual name and home address are not. Profiles are only viewable to other registered users.
