Living on Earth with Steve Curwood, a weekly environmental news and information program distributed by Public Radio International, will be airing an interview with Marco Simons, ERI's Legal Director, regarding our current lawsuit against Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy). EarthRights International and its legal partners, on behalf of twenty-five indigenous Achuar plaintiffs from the Peruvian Amazon, filed suit last month alleging egregious harm caused over a thirty-year period in the Corrientes River basin during which Oxy contaminated the rivers and lands of the indigenous Achuar communities, causing death, widespread poisoning and destruction of their way of life.
